Jesusa Medina, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Born on November 20, 1941, in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, she dedicated 35 wonderful years as a floral designer, bringing beauty and joy into the lives of many. She also spent many years working in marketing for a radio station in Puerto Rico.
Jesusa was known for her deep love for Jehovah and spent over 50 years of her life spreading God's word as a Jehovah Witness. She was also known for her artistic talents and for her vibrant personality. She was a fighter who displayed remarkable strength throughout her life. With a deep faith that served as a cornerstone of her existence, Jesusa was caring and kind, endearing herself to everyone she met. Her ability to make jokes and her passion for music and dancing brought light to any gathering. In addition to her creative pursuits, she cherished cooking for her family and friends and took joy in knitting, often sharing these knitted creations with loved ones.
A devoted family member, Jesusa’s proudest accomplishment was her family. She is survived by her daughters Maria (Rolando) Rosario, Brunilda (Bienvenido) Gonzalez, Didotne (Donney) Kirk, and Jesusa Rivera; her grandchildren Jonathan Rosario, Bienvenido Jorge Gonzalez, Hector Luis Gonzalez, and Andrea Paola Rodriguez; as well as her great-grandchildren Jeremy Rosario and London Rosario. She also leaves behind six siblings who will miss her deeply.
Jesusa’s legacy is revered not only in her close family circle but also among countless friends and acquaintances who felt the warmth of her friendship. Her unwavering spirit and affectionate nature left a lasting impact on everyone around her.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Winter Park, Florida, on October 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will take place on October 3, 2025, at All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry, Florida, beginning at 11:00 AM.
Jesusa Medina will be remembered fondly for her strength, kindness, and the love she selflessly shared with others. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
