Jim Mahoney

James Gerard Mahoney, known as Jim to his friends and family, passed away in his home in Orlando, Florida on April 11th, 2026. Jim was born on April 10th, 1960 in Elizabeth, New Jersey and held a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University. He is survived by his cherished wife, Mary, son Justin, daughter-in-law Nicki, and brothers Kevin and Richard and their children. Jim joins his late son, James Jr., and late brother, William, who preceded him in passing.

Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. His professional career spanned more than 40 years across a variety of positions in corporate accounting before fully retiring in 2025. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends, eating at his favorite restaurants, reading, enjoying the Disney theme parks, and relaxing at the beach. 

The family will be holding a viewing from 2PM to 4PM on Thursday, April 16th, with a memorial service immediately following the viewing at Newcomer Funeral Homes - Winter Park (3806 Howell Branch Rd. Winter Park, FL 32792).
