Joan Moss, born on March 6, 1942, in Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, in St. Cloud. She was 84 years old.

Joan’s journey began in the scenic landscapes of Nova Scotia, where her early years were shaped by family and faith. Her parents, John Pierce and Joan Scallion, instilled in her the values of devotion, kindness, and hard work that would be the cornerstone of her life.

A proud and loving wife, Joan shared forty wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Joseph U. Moss, until his passing. Their bond was marked by deep affection, support, and unwavering partnership. Together, they raised a family that became her greatest joy and proudest achievement.

Joan is survived by her devoted daughter, Cheryl Brown, and son-in-law, Thomas Brown. Her love extended unconditionally to her grandchildren, Melissa Mann, Michael Stewart, Jennifer Moss, and Joey Moss, and to her great-grandchildren, Makayla Mann, Leilani Mann, Bridget Mann, and Ethan Moss. She also leaves behind her cherished sister, Carol Merritt. The family will always remember the warmth, strength, and wisdom she gave so generously.

Though Joan mourned the loss of her husband, Joseph U. Moss, and her son, Joseph A. Moss, as well as her parents, their memories remained ever present in her heart. She honored them with her enduring dedication to family and the traditions they shared.

Joan’s deep faith was central in her life; she was a devout Catholic, finding comfort and inspiration in her religion and the community it brought. Her career also brought her joy, as she found fulfillment in her work and the relationships it fostered.

She had a zest for life’s simple pleasures. Every Friday, Joan enjoyed the ritual of getting her hair done, a small yet cherished delight that brought both happiness and routine to her week. She loved shopping, not just for herself, but often as a means to bring joy to others. Above all, she was known for taking care of her friends, offering support, laughter, and companionship to those lucky enough to know her.

Joan’s legacy is rooted in her dedication to her loved ones and her steadfast values. She lived each day with purpose and grace, instilling in her family the importance of faith, caring for one another, and embracing life’s moments, both big and small.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
