In Loving Memory of Jodi Lynn Howells

Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to Jodi Lynn Howells. She is the daughter of Ronald & Rosemarie (Gornick) Howells. Jodi’s life was filled with compassion, curiosity, and love. She touched so many lives through her work as a certified vet technician at Banfield Veterinary Hospital, caring for animals with the gentleness and devotion that came so naturally to her. Jodi’s love for her dogs Rory and Duncan, and pet Aunt to Yuki and Oliver, and the memory of Toby, Granite, Magic, and Cheyenne was endless. Jodi’s heart also had a special place for chinchillas, rabbits, and all of nature’s creatures.

Jodi loved her family across Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and cherished every chance to be together. She cherished her boyfriend Dan and going out with her friends. She found joy in books, animals, nature, theme parks, restaurants, and new adventures. In her younger years, she even helped bring the magic to others while working at the Spiderman ride at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, something she always remembered fondly.

She was a sister, a daughter, cousin, a friend, and a soul whose light shone brightly in every space she entered.

Jodi will forever be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her adventurous spirit. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing she lives on in every life she touched, in every memory we hold close, and in the love she left behind.

Say a prayer, light a candle, pour some out, or raise a glass. Rest in peace, Jodi. You will always be with us

Jodi is survived by her parents, brother Eric (Terrea Riggs), many cousins and her very special friend Daniel Gothe.

Service will be private at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jodi's name to Canine Companions Southeast.
