With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our father, John Mark Browder, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with ALS. He faced his diagnosis with remarkable grace, resilience, and dignity - never allowing the illness to overshadow the vibrant and creative spirit that defined him.
Mark was born on September 15, 1952 in Windsor, North Carolina to parents Jasper and Claudia Browder. They later moved to Winter Haven, Florida where Mark graduated from Winter Haven High School, and met and married his wife, Cynthia Browder. He held various careers ranging from construction to funeral homes and eventually became the IT director for Rogers Lovelock and Fritz (RLF). Mark spent a lot of his time playing in various bands/groups as the guitarist, drummer and singer, learning different techniques with painting, and serving through the church.
Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Browder and sister, Marsha Stokes. He is survived by his two siblings, William Christopher Browder, and Susanna Elliott Pugh; three daughters, Jennifer Doran, Christy Browder, and Courtney Kimrey; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Ghent, Justin Payne, and Jaxon Browder.
He found beauty and positivity in the world around him and expressed it through his music, artwork, and the way he lived. Though his voice may be still, his song plays on in each of us who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00am at University Carillon, 1395 Campus View Ct. Oviedo, FL. 32765
