He was preceded in death by his partner Richard K. St. John, father Ronald P. Wood, mother Rose M. Wood, uncles Bobby and Fred Wood, aunt Mary Greenwold.
John is survied by his longtime companion John Branson, sister Sandra Lemaster of Georgia, stepmother Pam Wood of Florida, nieces Amanda Teems and Stephanie Mathews of Georgia, great nephew Zachary Postell, aunt Nancy Coley, cousins David and Tim Coley of Chandler, NC.
