John was born on August 30, 1969 in Grand Forks, North Dakota Air Force Base. He is survived by: mother, Candace Whitney, Orlando; father, Thomas Lamneck, wife Debbie, Sarasota; brother, Matthew Lamneck, Orlando; sisters, Michelle Garner, Longwood; Michael Boele and husband, Gerrit, Ormond Beach; Lori Thompson, Lemont, Illinois;Nieces, Ella Lamneck, Meredith Garner (Andrew), and Vanessa Myers (RJ); Nephews, Keegan Lamneck, Max Garner, Jacob Boele (Christina) and Josh Boele. John was preceded in death by his stepfather, Mike Whitney; Grandparents, Bill and Betty Dorsey and Phil and Nola Lamneck.John served in the US Navy as an engineer onboard the USS WASP. He was a graduate of Florida Technical College. He was a boat captain at Walt Disney World for several years following the Navy. He also worked at Orlando VA for several years.The family is grateful to the VA doctors for their wonderful care and for his home caregivers they provided the past 3 years: respite care, Zuarmis, Home Nurse, Diane, and PT, Amanda.A Service of Celebration of Life will be held on January 26, 11:00 am, at First United Methodist Church of Orlando, 142 E Jackson St.Interment will be in Mifflin Cemetery family plot, Gahanna, Ohio, in the Spring.You may consider giving a Remembrance Gift in John’s memory to First United Methodist Church of Orlando, where John volunteered over the years.
