With heavy hearts and immense love, we announce the passing of Jose Luis Perez Roman, who left us on October, 14, 2026 at the age of 76 . To the world, he was known by many names and roles, but to us, he was a husband, a father, a grandfather, our protector, our teacher, and a source of unconditional love. His life was filled with moments, memories, and lessons that will forever remain a part of those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.

Luis proudly served his country in the United States Army for 25 years, dedicating much of his life to serving others. His years of military service reflected the values he carried throughout his life: discipline, strength, commitment, and perseverance. But perhaps his greatest accomplishment was the family he worked so tirelessly to provide for and protect.

Luis was a man who never shied away from hard work. He made countless sacrifices for those he loved, often without a single complaint or expectation of recognition. He believed in the importance of responsibility, a strong work ethic, and taking care of family. These were not simply lessons he taught his children with words, but values he demonstrated through the way he lived. He encouraged his children to work hard, stand on their own two feet, and above all, love and care for their own children with the same devotion he had shown them.

At the center of Luis's life was his beloved wife, Maria de los Angeles. Inseparable companions and partners in every sense of the word, Luis and Maria shared a beautiful life built on love, commitment, and togetherness. This December, they would have celebrated 53 years of marriage. Whether enjoying life's simplest moments or navigating its challenges, they were always by each other's side. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and the meaning of true partnership.

Beyond his dedication to his family, Luis found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing, tending to his garden, tackling home improvement projects, and listening to music. He was happiest keeping busy, working with his hands, and enjoying the things he loved. But nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.

Luis’s legacy is not measured only by his 25 years of military service or the many things he accomplished, but by the family he raised, the values he instilled, and the love he gave so freely. He taught those around him that love is often found in the quiet sacrifices we make, in showing up every day, and in doing whatever is necessary to care for the people who matter most.

Although his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his love, strength, and lessons will live on through his children, grandchildren, and generations to come.

As we say our final goodbyes, we remember a man who gave so much of himself to his country and, above all, to his family. His strength, sacrifices, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to gather in loving remembrance of José Perez on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, Fl 32825

Following the visitation, Luis will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, where his family and loved ones will gather to honor his life, his legacy, and his 25 years of dedicated military service.
