Joseph William Darmiento, 95, of Oviedo, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024. Born on April 20, 1929, Joseph lived a full and remarkable life marked by devotion to family, a passion for learning, and a commitment to hard work.
Joe was the beloved husband of the late Loretta Darmiento, with whom he shared many cherished years. He was preceded in death by his son Angelo Darmiento and is survived by his daughters Joette Beigay, Gail Loiacono, and Tina Marie Iafrate; his sons Edwin Darmiento and Kevin Darmiento; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of love and strength. They were his greatest pride and joy.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Joe served during the Korean War, embodying courage and dedication to his country. His life was marked by devotion to his family, hard work and a constant curiosity that led him to explore new skills and ideas.
Joe’s hands were rarely idle. Whether tending to his thriving vegetable garden, tackling home improvement, or creating beautiful woodworking projects, he approached every task with precision and care. He found joy in simple pleasures: the quiet satisfaction of a freshly tilled garden, the nostalgic comfort of a classic western movies, and the company of loved ones around him.
A man of great wisdom, warmth, and generosity, Joseph was admired for his kind heart and his ability to share his knowledge with others. He inspired those around him with his relentless drive to learn and grow, no matter the stage of life.
Joe's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and the countless lives he touched. His legacy is a testament to a life well-lived—rooted in love and family.
May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Loretta, and forever watching over the family he cherished so dearly.
