Joseph Anthony Moss, 61, passed away on February 9, 2026. A devoted son and father, proud veteran, and dedicated public servant, Joseph lived a life defined by service, strength, and unwavering love for his family.

Born on March 20, 1964, Joseph honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer stationed in Germany. His time in the Army reflected his deep commitment to protecting and serving others—qualities that would continue to shape his life and career.

Following his military service, Joseph devoted

years to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, where he continued his work in law enforcement with integrity, courage, and compassion. He was respected by colleagues and known for his steady presence, strong character, and sense of duty.

Above all else, Joseph was an amazing man who cherished his family. He is survived by his loving mother, Joan Moss of Orlando, Florida; his daughter, Jennifer Moss, 34, of Orlando, Florida; and his son, Joseph Moss, 32, of Saint Petersburg, Florida. His children were his greatest pride, and his love for them was constant and unconditional.

Joseph will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and the lasting impact he made on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
