Joyce Elaine Gore

Joyce Elaine Lynch Gore, born on August 11, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on February 21, 2026 in Longwood, Florida. After several years of pain and suffering, she is now at peace. She was preceded in death by her parents, F. C. and Lorene Lynch, and by her sister, Frances Joiner. She is survived by her sister, Linda Lynch, and niece and great-niece, Cynthia and Willa Joiner.

Joyce lived a fulfilling life as a bookkeeper and proofreader before retiring to enjoy more of her time with family. She moved several times throughout the southeastern U.S., spending time in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee before returning to Florida to be closer to family. She loved nature and animals, and over the years, kept several dachshunds as pets. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

The family will hold a private memorial in her honor. In lieu or flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be made to Sierra Club.
