Juan Felipe Hernandez, Jr., a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, departed this world on August 5, 2025, in Kissimmee, Florida, leaving behind a legacy that resonates in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on November 10, 1971, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Juan’s journey was one characterized by passion, humor, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
His academic aspirations were illuminated by the bright lights of Perth Amboy High School, where Juan's talent on the football field earned him a full scholarship to college. This early promise paved the way for a career marked by diligence and progression. Juan began as a technician, channeling his technical aptitude and precision into his work. He later ascended to a supervisory position, dedicating many fulfilling years to companies culminating in his retirement from Conoco Phillips. Through it all, he exemplified integrity and dedication, shaping the lives of those around him with his unwavering work ethic.
The essence of Juan transcended his professional life; it resided deeply in his relationships. He was a loving protector of his family, whose heart was as profound as his unique sense of humor. Friends and family will fondly remember his candidness, as he did not shy away from difficult truths, always offering genuine counsel wrapped in affection.
An adrenaline junkie at heart, Juan reveled in the thrill of life. He found solace and excitement in the wind rushing past him as he rode motorcycles and sped in fast cars. His spirited enthusiasm extended to his unyielding allegiance as a diehard Raiders football fan and his enjoyment of boxing matches, where he cheered passionately for his favorites. Beyond sports and speed, Juan was a keen collector—watches, hats, and car parts—each piece telling a story, each collection an expression of his vibrant spirit. The outdoors called to him, and he cherished every opportunity to travel, appreciating the beauty of the world around him.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted mother, Luz B. Diaz, and his stepfather, Felix Diaz. He is survived by his three beloved children: Amari Echavarria, Amber Hernandez, and Angel Hernandez. Juan's siblings, Jacqueline Diaz, Jorge Diaz, Robert Rodriguez, Jennifer Hernandez, and Roslyn Roldan join in remembrance, alongside several nieces and nephews who will carry forward tales of his adventurous life.
