Judy Ortiz, née Pardo, was born on December 2, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY, and passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in Orlando, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her warmth, laughter, and incomparable spirit will forever remain.
Judy was a woman of many gifts and passions. Renowned for her great sense of humor, she had a way of bringing light and joy into every room she entered. Her love for holidays, especially Christmas, was contagious; she delighted in creating magical moments filled with warmth and celebration. An excellent cook, Judy’s kitchen was a place of comfort and togetherness, where delicious meals were shared and memories made. She also embraced life’s adventures with enthusiasm, enjoying cruises, frequenting casinos, and showing off her elegance on the dance floor as an excellent dancer.
Her proudest accomplishments resonated deeply with her devout Catholic faith. Judy was committed to serving others, volunteering weekly at the local food pantry. This dedication exemplified her generous spirit and unwavering kindness, qualities that defined her entire life.
Above all, Judy treasured her family above all else. Her love for her grandchildren, Joseph, Justin, and Justina, was immeasurable. She cherished every moment spent with them, and her great-granddaughter Juliana held a special place in her heart. Judy was a devoted wife to Jaime Ortiz, a beloved mother to Lisette Ortiz, Joseph Acevedo, and Gabriel Ortiz, and a loyal companion to Buddy, her cherished dog. She is greeted in Heaven by her parents, Justina and Pedro, and her beloved dog Brandon.
A funeral service to honor Judy’s remarkable life will be held on May 27, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando, located at 895 S Goldenrod Rd in Orlando, FL 32822, followed by a mass at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church. This gathering will be a celebration of a truly special woman whose presence enriched the lives of so many.
Judy Ortiz’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and selflessness. She lived fully and loved deeply, inspiring those around her to cherish every moment. While we grieve her loss, we also hold dear the beautiful memories she leaves behind—and the enduring love she shared with her family and friends. Her spirit will forever dance in our hearts.
