For twenty years, Karen devoted herself to the nursing profession, providing care and comfort to those in need. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond nursing, as she also spent a decade sharing her love for sewing as an instructor. 

Karen's passions were multifaceted; she enjoyed immersing herself in the world of Disney memorabilia, cherishing the joy and nostalgia it brought. Additionally, her interest in genealogy reflected her deep appreciation for family history and traditions.

Karen was a loving mother to Stephen Smedley, Josette Tierney, Joshua Smedley, and Samantha Jenkins; grandmother to, Sean Tierney, Ashley Smedley, Renee Simmons, and Nicholas Jenkins. She is also survived by her sister, Pamela Freeman, and brother, Robert Moscarello.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Smedley, whose memory remains cherished in the hearts of her family. Karen was also preceded by her father, Edward Moscarello, mother, Ann Moscarello, and sister, Carol Moscarello, all of whom shaped her life in many ways.

Karen Smedley will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but also for the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and creativity will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
