Lacy Lee LeGrande

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lacy Lee “Jim” LeGrande, who departed this life on June 11, 2026, at the age of 70. Though his earthly journey has ended, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Lacy was born on April 27, 1956, to the late Lacy LeGrande Sr. and Nanny Ruth Woodland. Born in New York, he spent most of his life proudly calling Philadelphia home. Throughout the years, he also lived in North Carolina and Arizona before eventually making Orlando, Florida, his final place of residence.

Above all else, Lacy’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his family. He leaves behind two devoted daughters, Tkea LeGrande and T’Sa Michael, who were the center of his world. His love continues through his four cherished grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren, each carrying forward a piece of his spirit.

Lacy also leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, including his beloved niece, Hieshia Washington, and his nephews and nieces, Jonathan, Jeremy, Patricia, Lacy, and Lindsey. He was a caring uncle whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and wisdom to those fortunate enough to know him.

Driving wasn’t simply a profession for Lacy—it was a passion. His love for the open road naturally led him to a career as a long-distance truck driver, a profession he faithfully dedicated himself to for many years. He took pride in his work and continued driving until declining health made it impossible for him to continue doing what he loved.

Those who knew Lacy will forever remember his unforgettable sense of humor, his infectious smile, and his unique ability to tell the truth exactly as it needed to be heard. His advice was often raw, direct, and unfiltered, but it was always given from a place of love—especially to his grandsons, whom he wanted to see grow into strong, honorable men.

The void left by his passing will be deeply felt by his daughters, Tkea and Tessa, his niece Hieshia, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many family members and friends whose lives he touched. While their hearts ache with sorrow, they find comfort in knowing that his love, his laughter, and the lessons he shared will live on through them.

Although we grieve his absence, we celebrate a life that was lived with determination, resilience, humor, and love. His journey on this earth has ended, but his memory will forever travel the roads of our hearts.

Rest peacefully, Lacy. Your work here is done, but your love will forever guide those you leave behind. You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
