Ledlie Barbara Berry was born in Columbia, South Carolina on August 15, 1952. She passed away in Orlando, Florida on May 22, 2025, 72 years old.
Barbara moved from Columbia to Central Florida and started the first grade in 1958. She graduated from Lyman High School on June 8,1970 and started working at Frisch's Big Boy as a waitress. She began a new career on opening day at Walt Disney World, October 1,1971 at the Contemporary Hotel. She worked there for 21 years before transferring over to Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness Resort. She continued for 24 years being a part of the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue family and took pride in making everyone’s experiences magical. She was an inspirational trainer and truly cared for the people who worked with her.
As a lifelong vegetarian, sun worshiper and animal lover, Barbara enjoyed spending time at the beach, enjoying the outdoors and reading. She traveled in style starting in a 1958 Porsche Roadster. a later Porsche, a Jeep with oversized tires and when she became a mother, a Kia Soul.
When Amanda Barbara Camp was born on June 22, 1990, Ledlie Barbara Berry adjusted her lifestyle and became a devoted mother. She made many sacrifices to care for and raise her daughter, who survives today, along with her brother, Peter B. Berry, Ed.D. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald Berry, Margaret Porch Berry and Jerry Camp, Amanda's father.
The Celebration of Life will be on June 25, 2025 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, Florida, 32750, from 11:00 until 1:00. Plants are welcomed and will keep her memory alive.
