Leonora Paula Herklotz

Leonora P. Herklotz (née Messana) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7th, at the age of 83 in Ormond Beach, Florida. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her two children, Maryann and Robert (Jennifer), her grandson Christian, and her sister, Sonia. She is now reunited with her husband, Robert, and her brother, Leonard, who predeceased her.

Known affectionately as Nora, she was born and raised in Brooklyn, where she spent the majority of her life until 2005. It was then that she and her beloved husband, Bob, moved to the town of Guilderland, NY. There, they embraced nature, the tranquility of a quieter life, and the warmth of new friendships. Nora and Bob's love story began at Citibank, where they worked together and formed a deep friendship that blossomed into a lifelong romance. Married in 1973, they shared a beautiful journey, often walking hand-in-hand, until Bob's passing in 2018.

Nora moved back to Brooklyn, NY in 2019 to be close to her children, where she lived with her son and his family. In 2022, she relocated to Sanford, Florida with Robert, Jennifer and Christian.

Nora's life was a testament to her kindness, warmth, and integrity. Her loving gestures, fun nature, wisdom, and strength touched everyone she met. She had a contagious laugh and a remarkable ability to lift others' spirits. Her deep faith, rooted in her Roman Catholic upbringing, guided her throughout her life. Nora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her heart was always open, and her love was boundless. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
