Lita Anne Thomas

Lita passed away after a lifetime defined by achievement, complete selflessness and an unwavering commitment to her family.

In her 50 years with David, everyone who met Lita had only good things to say about her. From student friends at university, through colleagues in her finance career in London and New York, to her family life in Asia and America, she always thought of others before herself. She gave everyone, without exception, her interest, consideration and compassion naturally and without question.

She was always a very pretty girl, but it was her intelligence and her remarkable determination that helped her achieve so much at every stage in her life. However, her humbleness would always outweigh all these qualities, and she never spoke of her accomplishments with anything other than humility and modesty.

She possessed sensitive insight and sound judgment. She and David approached every decision together, usually beginning from entirely different perspectives. Through her sensibility and practicality, she invariably helped guide them to the right conclusion. One of her ideas, born of the combination of her intelligence and selflessness, was the catalyst that made it possible for them to move to America. If it wasn’t for Lita, her boys would not have met their wonderful partners.

Even with her academic and career achievements, she always hoped for three boys. From the moment that Mark was born, she instantly knew, without hesitation, that she was put on this earth to be the most wonderful mother it was possible for her to be to Mark, James and Peter. For the rest of her life, she selflessly dedicated herself to being just so.
