Lucy Rebecca Clement was born on January 28th 1947 in Georgetown Guyana to the late William and Hilda Moore. She was the youngest of ten siblings. Lucy left Guyana in her early twenties with her late husband Arnold Clement in search of a better life in New York City. Lucy had three children Denise, Arnold Jr., and David. She resided in Brooklyn, NY for many years until a decision was made to relocate to Charlotte, NC in 1996. Lucy resided in Charlotte until 2004 and later that year moved to Orlando, Florida; where she lived happily until her home-calling on May 11th, 2026.
Lucy graduated from ICS Newport Pacific High School and then studied at the Medical Aid Training School where she received her certificate as a Medical Aid. She worked in the medical field as a Nurse’s Aid for several years before undertaking a new challenge to work at Bankers Trust as an Administrative Assistant. After working in banking, Lucy decided to dedicate her time to work with troubled teens at a group home in Queens NY, a job that filled her heart with tremendous joy.
Ms. Lucy, as she was lovingly known to most, enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to travel and was an avid reader of romance novels. She loved a good movie and spent hours watching her favorite show Blue Bloods. Lucy was a woman of faith and faithfully began her day reading her daily words and bible scriptures. She was always an active member in the Church, and when she was unable to attend Sunday service, the services and loving parishioners would bring church to her. She was a simple woman that strived to live an uncomplicated life.
Sadly, Lucy’s husband Arnold and son’s Arnold Jr. and David predeceased her in this life. Lucy leaves behind daughter Denise; son-in-law Jeffrey; daughter-in-law Courtney; grandsons Calvin, Brandon, and David Jr; granddaughters Mckenzie, Daviana, and Ronasia; great granddaughter Caylin; and great grandson Ethan and their mom Vanessa. She also leaves behind loving sisters Hermenia and Dorothy, along with a long list of loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces/nephews, cousins and friends that were all loved
