Luella Jane Parry

Jane Hurley Parry, 95, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 5, 1929 in Geneva, New York, she was the daughter of James Hurley and Marion Goodwin Hurley. Jane was a devoted wife to Leland Parry for 48 years and a loving mother to Kevin, David, Lee Ann, James and Todd. She was known for her warmth, kindness and many talents, including dancing, bowling, playing piano and organ for church, and even learning to pilot a plane. She served as a Payroll Clerk for the Orange County Comptroller’s Office for many years and retired with distinction in 1996.

Jane dedicated her life to her family, always offering a listening ear, a warm embrace, and words of encouragement. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren creating lasting memories with each of them.

In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Leland I. Parry; son, Todd A. Parry; grandson, Steven M. Parry; brother, Robert Hurley; and sister, Phyllis Dillon.

She is survived by her children, Kevin L. Parry (Shari) of Casselberry, David R. Parry (Nancy) of Deltona, Lee Ann Baughman (Kenneth) of Deltona, and James W. Parry (Rhonda) of Casselberry; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She leaves a legacy for them of faith, kindness, laughter, and a genuine interest in others. Her example of a life well-lived leaves a lasting impact on all who loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, at 9:30 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, where friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Vitas Healthcare, 1105 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, Florida.
