Margaret Ann Bonesteel, affectionately known as the "Goodwill Queen," was born on August 22, 1955, in Norfolk, Virginia. She passed away on September 7, 2025, at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Kissimmee, Florida, leaving behind a legacy marked by creativity and generosity.
A proud graduate of Craddock High School, class of 1981, Margaret carved out a remarkable career in antiquing and reselling. Her extraordinary talent for transforming the seemingly mundane into treasured finds showcased her keen eye for design and detail. This skill not only allowed her to thrive in her career but also brought joy to countless others who benefited from her unique finds.
Margaret's passion extended beyond her career; she was also known for her involvement as a designer for the Festival of Trees, where her creativity shone brightly. She was full of life, and her kindness and welcoming nature turned every gathering into a cherished memory. Friends and family alike will remember her for her warmth and ability to make everyone feel at home.
Among her many hobbies, crafting stood out as a testament to her substantial creative abilities. She delighted in collecting various items, invariably finding something special to bring home to share with loved ones. Margaret's engagement with her interests reflected the joy she found in creating memorable moments, further enriching the lives of those around her.
Family was at the heart of Margaret's life, and her proudest accomplishments were her grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband, James Eugene Bonesteel, and her children, Joey Eisenberg and Lawrence Lohr, John Lohr, and daughter Jasmine Ann Lohr, who is married to Rodney Arjoon. Margaret's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Sophia Davis and her wife, LadyDejahne Davis; Giovanni Lohr; Serenity; Maddox Judd; Annethaea Rose Bonesteel; James Bonesteel; Michael Wheatfill; Rebecca Dill; Kimberly Dill; Emily Dill; and William Arjoon.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Robert Allen, and her mother, Betty (Tate) Allen. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service honoring Margaret Ann Bonesteel will be held on November 2, 2025, at Backwoods Airboat Adventures, located at 28500 E Colonial Dr, Christmas, FL, beginning at 8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to finding beauty and joy in everything around her.
