Margaret Joanne King, age 80, of Orlando, Florida, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2026. Margaret was a deeply loved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose love, strength, and steady presence shaped the lives of those around her.Margaret will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her warmth, and the care she showed to others throughout her life. She was a strong and passionate woman who expressed herself honestly, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on those around her. Margaret loved spending time outdoors, especially walking and traveling with her husband of 56 years, Eugene. She was creative in a myriad of ways and especially enjoyed making crafts. She previously worked as a hair stylist, a role that reflected her creativity and her connection with others. Margaret and Eugene volunteered for many years at St. James Cathedral in Orlando, Florida, reflecting their deep commitment to faith, community, and service.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances Matra; and step daughter, Deborah Povilonis. Margaret is survived by her husband, Eugene King; her daughter, Christina Recchio; her stepdaughter, Dawn Dean; her sister, Josephine Carilli; her two sons-in-law; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly and remembered always by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 3pm at Newcomer East Orlando, 895 South Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822 (407) 277-4227.
