Margaret Ann Morden, 98, passed away at Orlando Regional Medical Center on July 11, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.
Born in Fruitport, MI, on August 12, 1927, she later lived with her parents, Archie and Isabelle, and brother, Robert, in Moline, Ill. After her schooling, she worked to support herself and her mother, her father having passed away. She never married. Her career was with Bell South where she started as a switchboard operator and advanced to a role in management.
She and her mother moved to Orlando in the early 1950's where she spent the rest of her life. After thirty years with the telephone company she retired early. She greatly enjoyed traveling, playing games, doing crafts, laughing and having fun with family and friends. She loved her pet dogs - several poodles and, lastly, her Pomeranian, Muffin.
She was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Isabelle Morden, and her brother, Robert. She is survived by her nephews James Morden (his wife Sharon, their daughters Jennifer Morden and Laura Miller) and Richard Morden (wife Patricia, daughter Kathleen Morden and granddaughter Isabella Harris).
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 22, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, at 11 o'clock in the morning. Friends are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Orlando.
