Maria Agosto, beloved mother, wife, and mentor, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on August 26, 1936, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Maria  lived a life guided by faith, service, and devotion to her loved ones and community.

From a young age, Maria's spirit was shaped by her deep spiritual foundation, having met the Lord when she was only six years old. This early commitment blossomed into a lifetime characterized by unwavering kindness, generosity, and strength. Those who knew Maria remember her as a loving and kindhearted soul—one who gave selflessly and was always ready to think of others before herself.

Maria’s life was a testament to service and compassion. As a family counselor, she brought comfort and guidance to countless families, and in her role as a Sunday school teacher, she nurtured young minds in faith and moral strength. Her dedication extended into her home, where she served as a youth chaplain, ensuring that her faith and values were a cornerstone of family life. No matter the task or challenge, Maria approached each with a steadfast devotion, always striving to give abundantly, both to her church and in all aspects of her life.

Above all, Maria was a pillar of strength and encouragement to her family. She was a loving mother and the greatest cheerleader her daughter Maggie could wish for—the bond between them one of deep friendship, inspiration, and mutual respect. Maria took immense pride in inspiring Maggie to follow in her footsteps, perpetuating the legacy of giving and service that defined her life. Her marriage to Frank Agosto was another cornerstone—a loving union that spanned 57 years, marked by enduring commitment and partnership.

Throughout her life, Maria’s warmth, strong will, and zest for life touched everyone she encountered. Her generosity and giving spirit were evident not only in grand gestures but also in the quiet, everyday acts of kindness that made those around her feel seen, heard, and valued.

Maria’s legacy is one that will echo in the hearts of family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. Her unwavering faith, resilient spirit, and loving heart have left an indelible mark, serving as a guiding light for future generations.

She will be remembered with profound love, respect, and gratitude.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23rd 2026 at 10AM, followed by a service at 10:30AM.
