Mary Kay Hartmann, née Stevens, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on February 28, 1947, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Mary Kay lived a life characterized by kindness, strength, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Mary Kay devoted her life to caring for her family and home, a role she embraced with joy, selflessness, and determination. As an Air Force wife, she supported her husband through his service, including a year stationed in Thailand and three years in England. Together, they traveled extensively, with some of Mary Kay’s favorite destinations being Switzerland, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Sweden, and Austria. These travels created treasured memories that spoke to her love of adventure and fun.
Known for her kind and fun personality, Mary Kay never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. She spent considerable time assisting elderly friends with appointments and errands, demonstrating her generous spirit and compassion. Beyond her caregiving and charitable nature, Mary Kay enjoyed hobbies that reflected her organized and detail-oriented nature, such as crocheting, mowing the lawn, and ironing. She also had a special fondness for dates and numbers, appreciating the order and patterns they brought to her life.
Mary Kay’s proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Robert Hartmann Jr., her beloved son Robert (Rebecca) Hartmann III, and her cherished daughter Catherine (Jose) Hartmann. She was a proud grandmother to Cameron, Abigail, and Jafeth Bueso. Her family also includes her sister, Sandra (James) O'Keane.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Eleanor Stevens, and her sister, Barbara Jenkins.
Mary Kay Hartmann’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and generosity. Her strong, kindhearted spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, forever treasured as a pillar of her family and her community.
