Matthew George Wanglund

Matthew George Wanglund, age 58 of Winter Park, Florida passed on December 12, 2024, after a battle with a quickly progressing form of ALS.

"Matt" was born in Peekskill, New York. He enjoyed a long 22 year career at Mitsubishi Power Systems as a senior machinist. He was an avid NY Rangers fan, enjoyed music and video game entertainment.He leaves behind his loving wife, Sammie (Whitaker), father, George Albert Wanglund, daughter, Sierra Wanglund, 3 stepdaughters, DeAnna Murphy, Aaron Winship, and Jules Winship, along with 7 grandchildren. He also leaves behind 3 siblings Dorothy Jones, Sue Blauth, and Jeannie Walsh and many nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Harriet Mary Castellano.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to the ALS Foundation to help promote research and find a cure for this terminal disease.
