Melanie D Flaig

Melanie D Flaig, age 63, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at AdventHealth Hospital, Orlando, FL.She was born on December 17, 1961 in Orlando, FL, daughter to Caroll Reek Wade and late Frederick Joseph Reek. 

On April 30th 1983, she was wed to her husband & the love of her life, Bruce E Flaig. They shared 42 years of marriageMelanie was a graduate of William R Boone High School, and later obtained her Associate Degree in Business Management from Valencia College 1982. Melanie had a successful career at First Union Bank, Delta Airlines and WAYFM. Melanie later spent much of her time volunteering in the Church kitchen and was a devoted & supportive mother & grandmother.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Bruce Flaig, her Mother Caroll Wade, Sister Sherry Gross, her children, Jonathan Flaig & Tiffany Sherman and her beloved grandchildren Bradley Sherman, Hannah Sherman, Charlotte Flaig and Nolan Flaig.

A Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association or No-Kill Animal Shelter in Melanie D. Flaig’s name to support causes near and dear to her heart.
