Miguel A. Resto, Jr.

September 28, 1965 — July 21, 2025

Orlando

Miguel A. Resto, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 59. Born on September 28, 1965, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Miguel was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his remarkable work ethic.

For 40 years, Miguel devoted himself to Alro Steel, where his hard work and determination earned him respect among colleagues and peers. A talented carpenter gifted with tools, he found joy in building and fixing things, always ready to tackle whatever project came his way. His hands were capable of shaping both wood and moments, filling his family's lives with warmth and security.

As a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Lucy Resto, Miguel exemplified what it meant to be a provider and protector. He cherished his role as a caring and doting father to Gabriel Resto and Miguel Resto, III, and took great pride in being a buelo to his four grandchildren. Family was the cornerstone of his life, and he thrived in the love and laughter they shared.

Miguel's honest and truthful nature made him a trusted companion, even when the truth was hard to hear. He had a wicked sense of humor, which brought laughter to those around him.  There was no subject or person who was off limits!  Though often teased for his "RBF", you knew where you stood with Miguel.  If you were loved, he made sure you knew it and you felt loved.

He was not only a family man but also a devoted member of his community. Throughout his life, he served in ministry, leading a children's ministry and providing support to the homeless and people in the community . These proud accomplishments reflect his character and the positive impact he had on those he encountered.

Miguel is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Resto; his sons, Gabriel Resto and Miguel Resto, III; his mother, Gloria M. Resto; his sisters, Glorimar Jeffcoat and Elizabeth Ferrer; as well as his four grandchildren who were the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel A. Resto, Sr., and his brother, Ariel Resto.

Miguel A. Resto, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, honesty, and faith.  Though he is no longer here on earth, we know he lives eternally in heaven and in our hearts and minds.  He will be profoundly missed by his family and all who had the privilege to know him, but we will see him again.

A time to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date.  Please check back to this page for updates.
