Nancy Jo Warren

November 29, 1935 – June 13, 2026

Born in Lexington, Kentucky to Helen and Charles Fain, Nancy Jo – or Jo, as most would come to call her – had what she often described as ‘a wonderful childhood’ there, as well as in Union City, Indiana.

In her high school years, her family moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, where Jo attended Seabreeze High School, then to Orlando where she graduated from Edgewater High School. She lived most of her 90 years in Orlando.

Jo is remembered by family and friends as one who was generous with her love and attention. Her superpower was her gift of connection; she asked thoughtful questions and genuinely listened to the answers, and she made people feel heard and seen. If you were in her presence, you were always made to feel welcome and special.

She is described as thoughtful, kind and always engaging, one who ‘lifted everyone around her’. She had faith in the goodness of people and treated everyone as though they were worthy of kindness.

While we mourn her absence, we also celebrate the countless ways her life touched ours. Her kind and generous spirit lives on in the way we love each other; we will carry her with us, always.
