Ouxay Rintharamy

Ouxay Rintharamy peacefully passed away on September 1, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on June 8, 1940 in Vietiane, Laos, Ouxay started his career first as a police officer then later as an officer in Lao Army, attaining the rank of Captain. After immigrating to the United States in the mid-1970's, he started a new career with ABB, where he would go on to work for over 30 years.

In his roles both at ABB and within the Central Florida Lao-Thai community, Ouxay played a key part in helping many families immigrate to (as well as find success in) the United States. His leadership, helpfulness, and kindness to all will not soon be forgotten.

Beloved husband of Vitay for over 40 years, she survives along with her sisters Sakone, Thongsai, and Arom; his brother Somroung; his children Chansone (Doug) Durden of Tallahassee, Joe (Dee) Rintharamy of Pierson, Lila (John) Fay of Lake Mary, Nick (Oh) Kanlaya and Ranon (Jean) Kanlaya both of Sanford; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with many nieces and nephews. Ouxay was preceeded in death by his parents Kham and Thene Rintharamy, his sisters Kaysone and Rangone, and his brother Ouday.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Ouxay on September 8, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole, 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, Florida 32750. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place that day from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
