Pamelia Ann Murdock Reeves was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Clarence and Carolyn Murdock near Kelly Air Force Base where her Air Force father worked on airplanes. Four years later her brother, Denis, was born and the little family moved from base to base around the country.
The last half of her senior year of high school, Pam’s family moved to Tachikawa, Japan, where Pam met Airman Carl Reeves.
After Pam’s father was discovered to have leukemia, the Murdock family moved back to Texas where Clarence ultimately died shortly before Pam and Carl were married on April 26th, 1961.
Pam and Carl’s first household was in Boston while Carl was still serving in the Air Force, and then they moved back to Carl’s home state of North Carolina.
Less than two years later, Glenna Jane was born. Soon the family moved from their home in North Carolina to Pam’s old stomping grounds of San Antonio, where Pam and Carl would welcome their son, David Carl, to their family.
Eventually, in 1970, a new job opportunity for Carl would move the family back to the mountains of North Carolina, where they would remain until Pam’s move to Orlando in 2009.
Pam loved teaching piano, which she did for many years in both North Carolina and Florida. Her students brought great joy into her life. She owned a small Christian bookstore, which she loved because she loved reading and learning, especially about the Bible. She also had a great interest in natural health topics.
Although Pam suffered many health challenges, she walked confidently into heaven on March 4, 2026. She is survived by her brother Denis and his wife, Dinah (Krum, Texas), her beloved cousin, Mary Lynne (San Antonio, Texas), her son, David and his wife, Stephanie (Orlando, Florida), 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, all in Orlando. She was followed closely in death by her daughter, Glenna, of Orlando.
