Paola Potter

Paola Laura Potter, 83, of Lake Mary, Florida, formerly of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 31st, 2023, surrounded by her husband of 58 years and family.

Paola was the youngest daughter born on February 28, 1940 to Olga and Renzo Pastore. She spent her childhood both in Africa and in Italy where she became fluent in three languages. Paola met and fell in love with Donald Potter at Kagnew Station military base in Asmara, Eritrea where she was working as an executive secretary and he was serving in the United States Army. She would fondly recall their long distance letters and phone calls exchanged after his deployment was complete. Paola and Don joyfully reunited in the United States where they were married and started their lives together.

During her husband’s military career, Paola was fortunate to spend several years in Italy. A devout Catholic, she never missed Sunday Mass, wherever her travels took her. In 2023, Paola and Don moved to Florida to be closer to family. She truly enjoyed the laughter, home cooked meals, and the Florida sunshine.

Paola was predeceased by her parents and sister Loredana Folli. She is survived by her husband Donald Potter, son Kelly Potter, wife Tracy and grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, and Logan; sister, Vera Losi; sister-in-law Francis Ring and husband Glenn; brother-in-law, James Potter, four nephews and one niece.

Interment Service is planned for August 21, 2025 at 2:00 in the afternoon at Birch Hill Cemetery, 1100 North Pine Street, Burnham, PA
