Patria Texidor

Patria Texidor, 80 of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on August 27, 2026.  Patria was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 9, 1946 to Felicita Andujar and Demetrio Colon.

She lived in Puerto Rico for the first nine years of her life, and then Patria and her siblings, Raul Colon and Carmen Colon, moved to New York with their mother.  She graduated from Morris High School and became a lifelong Dental Assistant in the Bronx, serving the community for about 35 years.

Patria was married to the love of her life, Tito Texidor, Sr.  Tito and Patria were the proud parents of Hector (Maddie) Santos, Carmen Santos and Tito Texidor, Jr.  They are also survived by their grandchildren:  Izaias Santos, Syesha Santos, Destiny Santos, Justin Santos, David Varnavas, Patrick Varnavas, Victoria Varnavas and Chloe Varnavas; and by their great grandchildren: Kalel Santos, Adrian Izaias, Jayleen Gonzalez and Summer K. Ibert.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Winter Park Chapel.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Queen of Angels Cemetery in Winter Park, Florida.
