Paula M. Love

Paula Murrah Love, age 83, of Orlando, FL, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Brookdale-Conway Nursing Home in Orlando, FL.

Paula was born on March 15, 1942 in Orlando, FL, second daughter to her late parents, Charles Paul Murrah and Lois Lucille (Harrison) Murrah. She grew up in Orlando and attended Delaney Elementary, Cherokee Jr High, and graduated from Boone High School in 1960. She also attended Florida State University and was a life-long “Noles” fan. In 1964, she married fellow Boone graduate, James L. Swingle, Jr., and they lived in Deland, Tampa, and Jacksonville, FL.

She was preceded in death by James L. Swingle, Jr. who passed away unexpectedly in 1972, when the couple were living in Jacksonville, FL.

After remarrying, she lived in Salem, VA and Eagle Rock, VA from 1978 to 1998. She returned to Orlando, FL in 1998.

She is survived by her son, James Love and his wife Tracy Love, along with her four grandchildren, who all live in Colorado Springs, CO.

She is also survived by her older sister, Nancy Murrah Humphreys and her husband Jerry Humphreys of Orlando, FL.

She is also survived by two nephews and four nieces and their families.

She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Linda Murrah Lenn, of Orlando, FL.

A funeral service for Paula will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at Christ Church of Orlando, 2200 S. Orange Ave, Orlando, FL with Pastor Paul Valo officiating.
