Paula Oglesbee

Paula Oglesbee of Longwood, Florida, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, at the age of 82. Known for her loving and giving spirit, strong work ethic and unwavering faith, she lived a life of service and was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Born on September 8, 1943, to the late Giuseppe and Guiseppina Mangiafico in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily. Paula was a dedicated member of Starlight Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities’, including street and prison ministries and routinely visiting nursing homes and the homebound. She was a strong woman of faith, facing life’s challenges with grace and relying on prayer to guide her. Paula was also a self-proclaimed jokester, putting smiles on people’s faces and making friends wherever she went while taking great joy in making people laugh.

Paula is predeceased by her beloved husband Jim Oglesbee; sisters Maria Pensavalle, Sebastiana Spina and Antonietta Randazzo, and brother Sebastiano Mangiafico. She is survived by her daughter Trish DeBell and husband Robert, cherished granddaughter Jenna Raehn DeBell, sister Lucia Caruso, brother Salvatore Mangiafico, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

A service celebrating the life of Paula Oglesbee and “going home”, will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 18th, at Starlight Baptist Church, located at 350 Hayes Rd., Winter Springs, Florida, 32708. Immediately following the service, there will be a reception at the church in the annex. A private graveside service will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sanford, Florida.
