Randal Race, a cherished member of the Orlando community, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on October 11, 1963, in Orlando, Florida, Randal grew up embodying a spirit of kindness and warmth that touched the lives of many.
From a young age, Randal exhibited an impressive work ethic, beginning his career at the age of 14 at Lee and Rick's Oyster Bar. He later transitioned to Casa Gallardo Restaurant before advancing to a significant role at General Mills’ corporate office. Throughout his life, Randal dedicated many years to a successful career in Information Technology, which he approached with the same passion and dedication he applied to all aspects of his life.
Randal was not only known for his professional accomplishments but also for his vibrant personality. Friends and family would often describe him as funny, with a dry sense of humor that always brought laughter into any gathering. His gregarious nature meant he never met a stranger, and he possessed a thoughtfulness and compassion for others that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was smart and stylish, traits that further characterized his unique and charming disposition.
In addition to his professional life, Randal was a man of many interests. He loved shopping, spending time at the beach, and exploring places like Key West. His adventures took him across every state in the U.S., except one, and he enjoyed collecting Fiesta Ware as a hobby, reflecting his appreciation for both aesthetics and history.
Randal is survived by his loving husband, Dani Martin-Race; his mother, Cecilia (John) Wisniewski; and his brother, Jonathan Wisniewski. He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Mimms; his sisters, Amber Snyder and Aneca Lindquist; and his grandparents, Josephine and Cecil Black.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Randal's life will be held on February 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole, located at 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, FL 32750. Friends and loved ones are invited to come together to honor the legacy of a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
