Randall Herbert Cubbedge, age 98, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Randall was born on December 3, 1926 in Winter Park, FL to his parents, Nola and Otis. He had one younger brother, Elbert, deceased.

Randall attended school in the Orlando area in grade school.  High School in Winter Park where he was captain of the band and first chair clarinetist.  He won a music scholarship to Rollins College, but due to family needs, had to go to work instead.  

Randall love the water and was a sea scout and avid skier.  He ran the scenic boats through Winter Park Canals as a job in school.  He had a paper route from age 14 through Winter Park.  In high school, he worked at the caddy shop of the golf course and then after dark Taylors Pharmacy until closing at 10pm.

He did a lot of hunting and took up taxidermy to preserve some of his trophies.  The Winter Park wild cat her caught and preserved id still carried at home coming.

Randal went to work for the United States Department of Agriculture in marketing and research.  His work carried him to the Netherlands, Caribbean area and Japan.  He travelled many states in his work also.

He published over 40 some manuscripts of his work in the official agricultural literature.  He was honored by the State of Florida Agriculture Department as well as federal.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley.  Two sons, Randall David and Kenneth Scott.  One daughter, Sheryl Elaine.  Grandchildren, Sean, Patrick, Caitlin, and Reilly Cubbedge.  Amanda Gramza (Cubbedge), Katrina and Nathaniel Schweinberg.  Great grandhildren, Declan Cubbedge, Grace Cubbedge, Kameron Kline, Zoey and Collyns Gramza and Ophelia Cubbedge, and Alana Schweinberg.

Graveside service is Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 10:30 am at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL.
