Raquel Melendez, age 86, of Orlando, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. She was born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico on August 28, 1925 to the late Luis Debien and Carmen Valentin. She was a retired teacher.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Emilio Melendez; daughters, Gina Melendez-Superville and Cynthia Santiago; son, Luis Melendez; granddaughters, Christina Marie Santiago and Laura Michelle Santiago.
Visitation and services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 3:00PM-9:00PM. Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
