Raymond Anthony Lippi, of Longwood, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at AdventHealth Hospice. He was born on July 16, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Paul and Sophie (Kosarich) Lippi. In the early 1950s, the Lippi family relocated to Miami, Florida, where Raymond attended North Miami High School, graduating in 1960.
After high school, Raymond was drafted into the United States Army and served in Thailand as a water purification specialist in support of operations during the Vietnam War. Upon his return in 1966, he met the love of his life, Shirley Parrott. The two married and shared 58 devoted years together. Raymond went on to build a long and successful career at Lucent Technologies before retiring.
In retirement, Raymond embraced a wide array of passions. He loved Italian cooking, creating stained glass art, and brewing his own beer. He was a proud member of the Brew Club of Seminole County and an active advocate for natural spaces as a member of the Citizens for Wekiva Springs State Park. A lifelong history enthusiast, he could often be found reading or watching anything he could find about World War II—especially on YouTube. His passion for the past also led him to travel extensively as a Civil War reenactor for many years.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sophie Lippi, and his brothers, Philip, Richard, Bobby, and Carl. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Lippi, several nieces and nephews, and the extended Ruwe family.
