In Loving Memory of Reinaldo Torres Zayas**
Reinaldo Torres Zayas, 64, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on November 27, 2024.
Born on January 3, 1960, in Salinas, Puerto Rico, Reinaldo was the son of Teofilio Torres and Paula Zayas. In his youth, he was known for his prowess in track and his adventurous spirit, one of the first ones from his beloved town añasco, to bike around the island of Puerto Rico. His love for music was present since a young age, participating in many talent shows dancing salsa and winning.
Reinaldo enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1978, serving his country with honor. Following his military service, he had a distinguished career at Disney World and after retirement enjoy working at Allied Universal. Music was another passion of his; he enjoyed being a DJ, sharing his love for tunes with others.
Reinaldo was first married to his high school sweetheart Grace Matos, with whom he had three daughters: Jasmine Glenn, Yesenia Johnson, and Tatiana Polin. In 2007, he remarried his beloved wife Romina Torres, who was by his side till the day God called his name. He’s also survived by his two sons Reynaldo Torres and Reynaldo Jesus Torres.
He was a beloved grandfather to Chelsy, Sofia, Tristan, and Lorenzo Glenn; Jaidyn Hess; Jeremiah, Kaleb , and Leila Polin; and Wilfredo Andres Ruiz. He will be missed by his brother Angel Perez Zayas and his two nieces Lisandra Perez & Militza Perez.
A man of many talents and even more love, Reynaldo will be deeply missed by his family, specially his children, friends, his beloved dog COCO and all who knew him for his vibrant spirit and his warm, engaging personality.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822. Interment with Military Honors will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL.
