Rosita Ruiz-Soto, born on July 1, 1943, in Cabo Rojo, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, in Orlando. Rosita’s journey through life was marked by her infectious energy, deep love for family, and unwavering spirit.
Rosita dedicated 25 years of her professional life as a Secretary at Sweet N Low, where her work ethic and cheerful personality left a lasting impression on colleagues and all who knew her. Her commitment in her role reflected both her diligence and her kindness, making her much more than just a coworker—she was a friend and confidant to many.
Beyond her career, Rosita lived her life vibrantly. She cherished everyday joys, often found shopping at flea markets, and was famous among loved ones for yelling creative, hilarious phrases that became her own playful language. Her affection for her cats and her well-known love of cheetah print were small but beloved parts of the larger-than-life character she embodied.
Family was always at the center of Rosita’s world, and she was immensely proud of her roles as grandmother and mother. Known for her boundless love as a grandmother, mother, aunt, godmother, and wife, Rosita’s strength and pride in her family shone in every interaction. Though she stood just 4'11", her wit was razor-sharp, her voice unmistakably lively, and her sense of humor brought laughter and lightness to every gathering. Spunky and absolutely hilarious, Rosita’s sassiness and warmth made every moment memorable.
Among the countless cherished memories shared with Rosita, one particularly special moment stands out: the family trip to Puerto Rico in May 2023. During this trip, her son-in-law and granddaughter lovingly pushed her wheelchair up Castillo San Cristobal, an act that exemplified the strength of the bonds she nurtured within her family and the affection they shared.
Her loved ones remember her for her courage, unwavering humor, and inspirational pride in her family. These qualities have left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her, and her legacy will endure in the hearts of all she touched.
A Graveside Service to honor and remember Rosita Ruiz-Soto will be held on July 16, 2026, at 1:30PM at Queen of Angels Cemetery.
Rosita’s memory will be ever cherished, her laughter fondly recalled, and her love forever treasured.
