Sandy Davis passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on September 15, 1949, Sandy will be remembered as a loving, caring woman whose warmth reached far beyond her own family. To many, she was a second mom, someone whose helpful spirit, bright smile, and unmistakable laugh made people feel welcome, supported, and loved.
From her younger years on, Sandy carried a joyful energy through life. A cheerleader in high school, she kept that encouraging spirit with her always, lifting others up and bringing enthusiasm and heart to the people around her. In her work, she was so appreciated that she was voted Support Person of the Year almost every year. After receiving the honor the first time, she declined it in the years that followed, a reflection of her humility and generous nature.
Sandy found happiness in simple, meaningful routines and in caring for the things and people she loved. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard, and she was devoted to her morning quiet time. She also had a special soft spot for her dogs, first Louie and later Killian, who held a cherished place in her heart.
Her family will carry treasured memories of her with them always. Her son, Lane Davis, will forever hold dear their dance at his wedding and the look of happiness on Sandy’s face in that moment. Her daughter, Paige Stafford, cherishes the many hours Sandy spent driving all over the state to soccer tournaments and Winterguard competitions, always willing to get up early or stay up late to make sure Paige was where she needed to be. These acts of love, given so freely and faithfully, speak to the depth of Sandy’s devotion as a mother.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Paige Stafford; her son, Lane Davis; and her mother, Juanita Safford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Davis. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, encouragement, and steadfast love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
