Sara E. "Pat" Backstrom, 86 of Winter Park passed away Tuesday, May 12th. She was born in McKeesport, PA and moved to Central Florida in 1957. She retired in 1981 from the Naval Training Device Center in Orlando and was a member of Goldenrod Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Effron (Bernard) of Oviedo; son, William Backstrom (Rita) of Oviedo; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 15th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
