The Bosque Polanco’s family is saddening to announce that Sara E. Polanco Lopez passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 91 years old in Lake Wales, Florida.
Known by friends as Sarita, her husband used to call her Sari and for the family she was abuela Sari. She was born on February 27, 1934 to Sara Lopez (Mama Sara) and Manuel Polanco (Momo) in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
Graduated from the “Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico” with a degree on education and worked as an elementary teacher for 35 years before retirement.
Married to Angel Bosque Caban and went to have 2 sons, Angel Bosque Polanco and Antonio Bosque Polanco, daughter in law Iris Tacoronte Rivera, four grandchildren Alexandra Bosque Tacoronte, Jennifer Bosque Tacoronte, Nicolle Bosque Tacoronte and Emmanuel Bosque Tacoronte, five great-grandchildren Israel Velez Bosque, Norma Velez Bosque, Avilisse Encarnacion Bosque, Ailani Encarnacion Bosque and Audriana Encarnacion Bosque.
She became widow at the age of 74. There were many hobbies that she liked, from decorations to sewing and many others. Most of her clothing was created by her own hands.
Became a member of the Altrusa International Organization in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico where she received various awards and also a member of “Unión de Mujeres de las Americas”.
She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved family and friends. Her legacy will remain forever.
