In Loving Memory of Shannon Hadden

Shannon Ray Hadden, born October 14, 1960 in Topeka, Kansas, passed away on July 8, 2026 in Ocala, Florida after a battle with cancer.

Shannon passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of service, resilience, humor, and unwavering love for his family.

A proud graduate of Shawnee Heights High School, Class of 1979, Shannon dedicated 25 years of his career to Hallmark, where his hard work and dependability reflected the character he carried throughout his life.

Shannon proudly served his country as a United States Marine, a title he carried with honor long after his military service ended. He was also a devoted member of American Legion Post 421, where he found fellowship among fellow veterans and continued his commitment to those who served.

Twenty-eight years ago, Shannon received the gift of a kidney transplant. That gift gave him nearly three decades of additional memories, milestones, laughter, and time with those he loved. He lived those years with quiet strength and gratitude, never taking them for granted.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kyle; his mother, Beverly; and his brother, Michael.

Shannon is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; his son, Tucker; and his stepdaughter, Mackenzie (Brandon) Thompson. He also leaves behind the grandchildren he cherished: Kastin Thomas, KeOndre Jordan, Lea Gerhardt, Blaine Thompson, and Owen Tomes.

He is further survived by his sisters, Sheryl (Marty) and Shauna, nieces, nephew, along with extended family, friends, fellow veterans, and all whose lives were made better by knowing him.

Shannon will be remembered for his strength in the face of adversity, his pride in serving his country, and the steadfast love he showed to those fortunate enough to call him family. Though his chair may now sit empty, the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, and the love he gave will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

His watch is over. His duty is complete. Semper Fi, Carry on
