Shashirekha Ashok Kotak

Shashirekha Ashok Kotak, age 71, of Pune, India, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at AdventHealth Hospice in Altamonte Springs, FL.

She was born on September 12, 1953 in Dhule, India, daughter to her late parents, Mangala and Sudhakar Sathe. On May 5, 1978, she was married to her husband, Ashok Kotak, who preceded her in death on February 8, 2024.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother who was a selfless soul.  Shashirekha was very thoughtful of others, and often put her needs after those of the ones she loved.  Born into a Christian family, she followed the examples of the Bible and lived her life as a faithful servant to God and family.  Her beauty, grace, and kindness will be forever remembered and cherished.   

Shashirekha is survived by her two children, son, Kiron Kotak and his wife, Shweta, and daughter, Madhurima Chopde and her husband, Prashant; a brother, Sunil Sathe; a sister, Suvarna Misal and her husband, Sunny; and two grandchildren, Arushi Chopde, and Aaron Kotak.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ashok Kotak; and a brother, Shrikant Sathe.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, with Pastor Dan White officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15 preceding the service from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Casselberry, FL.
