On Wednesday, March 18th, our dear friend Stephen Carter tragically lost his battle with mental health.
Stephen was the kind of person who always had a smile on his face. He gave so much of himself—whether physically or emotionally—and was always there for others. He listened without judgment, offered support without hesitation, and lifted people up through prayer and presence.
He was open about his own struggles and became an advocate for mental health, helping others feel seen, understood, and not alone.
Stephen leaves behind his blessed 95 year old mother; Freda, his loving wife, Laurie; his daughters, Priscilla and Brianna; his stepsons, Shawn and Joseph; his stepdaughter, Tina; and his nine cherished grandchildren: Kiara, Conor, Luke, Noah, Lily, Christopher, Daxton, Caleb, and Chloe.
He is now reunited in heaven with his first wife, his daughter Sacha, his grandson Baby Carter, and his father.
Jesus says:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
