Susan Arnette Barringham

Susan was born on January 31, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away surrounded by her family on March 14, 2026. Susan moved to Orlando in 1972 with her first husband, Donald Oakley, and her two daughters, Shirley and Cassandra, to start a new beginning and she found it. Susan’s passion was nursing, and she proudly served her community by working a combined 50 years as a psychiatric nurse at Advent Health and as a Trauma / ER nurse at Orlando Health. She cherished those years and the many colleagues she worked with over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents Gladys and John Burghardt and her husband John Barringham. She leaves behind her devoted daughters Shirley (Bill) Adams and Cassandra (George) Shiflet. Her Grandchildren Jennifer (Jason) Bullard, Eric (Valerie) Corbett, Katherine Shiflet, Sarah (Dan) Shiflet and George Shiflet Jr. Her Great Grandchildren Ronan, Scarlett & Piper Bullard and was looking forward to the birth of Olivia Corbett. There will be a memorial service in late April – more information to follow.
