Susan Masterton

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Susan Ann Masterton, known affectionately as "Mom," who left us peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on May 21, 1945, in Chetlenham, Great Britain, Susan touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness throughout her remarkable journey.

A devoted head secretary at a shipyard and later for Mini Cooper S, Susan excelled in her career while always putting her family first. She earned an Associate's Degree in business management, demonstrating her determination and intellect. But it was not just her professional prowess that made her unforgettable; it was her loving spirit that drew people to her. Everyone who met Susan loved her. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and cherished, allowing her to become a beloved figure and "grandma" to many.

Susan's interests were as vibrant as her personality. She had a passion for flowers, found joy in the soft glow of scented candles, and eagerly followed cooking shows, sharing tips and recipes with anyone who asked. Her home was a reflection of her love—a nurturing space filled with laughter, comfort, and delicious meals.

Susan's proudest accomplishments were her family—her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She reveled in the joy they brought her and often spoke about the light they added to her life. Her love for them was a hallmark of her character, and she instilled values of kindness, strength, and perseverance in all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her family.

Susan's strength was deeply rooted in her husband, Wally, whose unwavering support was a foundation throughout her life. Although he has passed, Susan's enduring love for him continues to resonate with her family. She is also preceded in death by her son, Jason Masterton, and her in-laws, Jack Klevis and Kathryn Burford.

Susan leaves behind her cherished son, Stephen Wallace Masterton, and his wife Celia Masterton; her devoted daughter, Tracey Deborah Masterton; daughter-in-law, Karen Masterton; her loving sister, Marie Lesisko; and her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren who carry her spirit forward into the world.

As we remember Susan, we take comfort in the beautiful memories shared with her—memories filled with laughter, support, and a unique kind of love that only she could provide. In celebrating her life, we hold close the belief that her kindness and spirited nature will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
