Timothy "Tim" Thompson, a beloved franchise partner for Steak 'n Shake, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 66. Born on May 2, 1959, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Tim was a man of steadfast dedication and an unwavering work ethic.
Tim was known for his reserved nature, which belied a keen sense of humor that emerged once you got to know him. A true prankster, he brought joy and laughter to those around him. His passion for music and love for food were among the many facets of his multifaceted personality. Tim's fondness for his Mustang reflected his appreciation for speed and performance.
Throughout his life, Tim achieved numerous accolades, proudly earned as part of his commitment and excellence at Steak 'n Shake, earning several awards that recognized his outstanding service and contributions to the brand.
Tim leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his wife, Araceli Thompson; children, Robert Warren and Louise Leggett; grandchildren, Milani Warren, Sasha Warren, Ezra Warren, Sydney Leggett, and Sienna Leggett; and sisters, Catherine Abernathy, Theresa Thompson, and Mary Thompson.
His passing is deeply felt by all who knew him, as he is remembered not only for his achievements but for the laughter, warmth, and kindness that defined his interactions with others.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Bryan Thompson; mother, Ann Sablich; son, Timothy Thompson, Jr.; and brothers, Bryan Thompson, Jr. and Patrick Thompson. Each of these relationships shaped the man he became, and he is now reunited with them in eternal rest.
